I was interviewed this week for a huge job opportunity that aligns with my passion for people while allowing me to use my healthcare knowledge. My interview performance was not perfect, but I gave the opportunity 100% +. I made a brief presentation in Adobe InDesign to show my dedication & passion. During this pandemic, we must all be willing to give even more than 100% to secure a position.

After anyone goes through any high-pressure event, you must take a step back & look at yourself from an outside perspective. It is natural to critique your performance after an interview, but do not allow yourself to get caught in a vicious cycle of doubt or negative thoughts. No one performs perfectly during an interview. The pressure is on, you are expected to answer questions in a specific way, and still remain natural.

Instead of focusing on what you did wrong during the interview, focus on what you did right. How can your strengths be used to overcome any weaknesses. Use every obstacle as a learning opportunity as you continue to grow into the best version of yourself. Step back and perform a SWOT analysis of your performance. When you use every interview as a learning experience your performance will improve every time and eventually you will nail it.

Life can throw you on the ground, but if you always get back up, you will eventually achieve your dreams.
